Wiley starting Worksmart, the Next Step of Everything DiSC New tool provides managers with brief, targeted training courses to enable them to handle important issues in their regular work flow.

HOBOKEN, N.J. — The Everything DiSC® behavioral evaluation offers teams reliable, scientifically verified findings that can improve their working relations. But as time goes on, the pressures of the daily grind take front stage and the training loses top importance.

When the lessons acquired deviate from habit, applying them throughout a hectic workday might be challenging. And that can even occur among the most committed, well-meaning administrators. Studies reveal that while more than half of managers lack the necessary training to become more effective, having competent managers can greatly increase staff retention and performance.

One of the biggest publishers worldwide and a pioneer in research and education globally, Wiley has developed a new tool to enable managers implement the insights from its Everything DiSC assessment more effectively in their regular work flow.

All Combining DiSC insights with targeted, one-hour training courses and on-demand action planning, DiSC Worksmart is a new learning tool for managers.

Designed to be the next phase of the Everything DiSC learning process, Worksmart followed the completion of the Everything DiSC Workplace assessment and a led group session. It was developed to help managers in real time negotiate top workplace issues influencing team performance.

Worksmart lets managers use their knowledge by giving access to brief, solution-based seminars on relevant subjects. Under the direction of a facilitator either in-person or online, managers delve deeply into the chosen topic in these sessions and come out with action plans to utilize right away with their direct reports.

Worksmart provides courses covering five particular subjects:

Providing critical comments

controlling strife

Giving your staff more power

Supporting your staff in negotiating change

Encouraging your group

“Team interactions have a big impact on work culture and productivity; managers that encourage meaningful engagements consistently make their company stronger,” stated Danielle McMahan, executive vice president & chief people officer at Wiley. “Everything DiSC Worksmart will position managers to put proven, validated DiSC results into action during their daily work, helping teams connect and companies thrive.”

Worksmart runs on the Everything DiSC CatalystTM platform, so the action plan tool is always on-demand for managers to access in real time, anytime they need it during their working day.

Next week the Association for Talent Development (ATD) International Conference and Expo in Washington, D.C. will feature Everything DiSC Worksmart.
